HELLO SIR, MY GIRL FRIEND AND I ARE GHOST HUNTERS/ TREASURE SEEKERS AND OLD BOTTLE COLLECTORS. WE WENT TO THE GHOST TOWN YESTERDAY TO EXPLORE AND USE OUR METAL DETECTORS. WE WOULD LOVE YOUR IMPUT AND MAYBE DIRECTION ON WHERE TO LOOK FOR OLD TREASURES AND THE OLD BOTTLES IN THAT NECK OF THE WOODS. WE PLAN ON CAMPING THERE SOON..TO DO SOME REAL EXPLORING AND WOULD LOVE YOUR ADVICE. WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SEE OLD PHOTOS AND A MAP THAT DATES BACK TO THE MID 1800S WHEN IT WAS SO ALIVE THERE. CAN YOU HELP? IM STAGE 3/4 CANCER AND WOULD LOVE TO MAKE THIS MY LAST ADVENTURE..THANKS!-MICHAEL

      Michael,

I’m sorry to hear about your cancer. I can’t give you much advice except to watch out where you walk so you don’t fall into an old mine. The original Centralia landfill was behind St. Ignatius Cemetery, the front being on Locust Avenue. Good luck.
